Senior R&D Technician

Neuspera® Medical is seeking a Senior R&D Technician to assemble and prototype electronic subassemblies for engineering evaluation, product and process validation, and clinical use. 


JOB DUTIES:  

  • Assemble, prototype and test electronic assemblies 
    • Fine work using microscopes
    • Soldering (including very small scale SMT rework)
    • Coil winding
    • Electrical test
  • Conduct engineering evaluations and tests 
    • Develop and execute test plans
    • Use of electronic test equipment 
      • Oscilloscope
      • Vector network analyzer
      • Spectrum analyzer
      • Function generators
    • Documentation and reporting of test results
  • Manage shared R&D lab areas 
    • Organize components and tools
    • Maintain a clean and orderly lab benches
    • Manage test equipment procurement, rental, maintenance as necessary
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 Qualifications and Experience:   

  • Able to follow work instructions and complete assembly and test records in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices / Quality System Regulations
  • Able to work under the direction of engineering with limited documentation
  • Able to maintain training records and follow relevant Standard Operation Procedures
  • Ability to perform soldering and other rework on very small-scale assemblies
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent 10 or more years of test, assembly and rework experience on small scale electrical assemblies experience, preferably in R&D or engineering technician roles at start-up companies
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills

 Work Environment:

  • Office, laboratory, and cleanroom
